These terms are the agreement between you and Foursomes. They cover the website at foursomes.app, the Foursomes web app, the Foursomes iPhone and Apple Watch app, and the Foursomes Android app (app.foursomes.mobile).

By creating an account or using Foursomes, you agree to these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Community Guidelines, which are part of this agreement. If you install our Android app, the EULA also applies to that software.
You must be at least 17 years old. You confirm this when you sign up. If you are not 17, you may not create an account or use Foursomes. We may refuse or close accounts that do not meet this requirement.
You must have the legal capacity to enter this agreement, and you may not use Foursomes if you are barred from doing so under applicable law.
Foursomes provides golf GPS distances and hole maps, scorecards and scoring for common formats, round history, a friends feed, messaging, and group and crew organisation.
We change the product. Features may be added, altered or withdrawn. We will not remove a feature you have paid for during a period you have paid for it.
You are responsible for your account, your credentials, and everything done through your account. Use an accurate email address — we use it to reach you and to let you recover access. Tell us at 4oursomes@foursomes.app if you believe someone else has access to your account.
Do not share, sell, rent or transfer your account.
Nothing is currently sold in Foursomes. As of the effective date of these terms there is no purchase available in the app, no subscription is being charged, and no payment is being taken from anyone. If you have Pro access, it was granted by us directly.
A coach question pack, when offered, is a one-time purchase. It adds a fixed number of coach questions. It is not a subscription, it does not renew, and it does not include Pro. The price is the price shown in the store before you confirm. All sales are final: Foursomes does not refund a coach pack. If Apple or Google reverses the charge, the questions from that pack are removed.
The terms below govern paid plans if and when we launch them, and we will notify you before any charge is ever made:
We may offer complimentary or trial access at our discretion and may end it at any time.
You keep ownership of what you post — your rounds, scores, photos, replies, messages and profile.
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, transmit and display your content solely to operate and provide Foursomes to you and to the people you share it with, and to keep backups. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already distributed to other users and for backups pending routine deletion. We do not use your content for advertising or sell it, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models.
You are responsible for your content. Do not post anything you do not have the right to post. See the Community Guidelines for what is and is not acceptable.
We may remove content that violates these terms, the Guidelines or the law.

Our course bundles, map tiles, our own difficulty index, and the Foursomes software are our property or our licensors'. You may use them through the app for your own golf. You may not scrape, bulk-download, redistribute or resell them, or use them to build a competing dataset. See the Acceptable Use Policy.

You must keep the "© OpenStreetMap contributors" attribution intact wherever it appears.
Foursomes gives you estimates, not measurements.
Foursomes is not a navigation system, a safety device, or a substitute for paying attention. Do not use it while driving a vehicle or a cart, and follow the rules of the course you are on. Play safely and keep your eyes up.
You may stop using Foursomes at any time and delete your account in the app under You → Delete account or at foursomes.app/delete-account.
We may suspend or terminate your access, or remove content, if you break these terms, the Guidelines or the Acceptable Use Policy, if we are required to by law, or if your use threatens the security or integrity of the service or other users. Where it is practical and lawful, we will tell you why and give you a way to respond.
Deleting your account removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Foursomes is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that course data is complete or current.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Foursomes nor its operators, officers or suppliers is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data.
Our total liability for any claim relating to Foursomes is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100. Since nothing is currently sold, that amount would presently be the floor.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You will indemnify and hold harmless Foursomes and its operators from claims, damages and reasonable legal costs arising from your content, your use of the service in breach of this agreement, or your violation of law or of another person's rights.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Before starting any formal proceeding, email 4oursomes@foursomes.app and describe the dispute. We will both try in good faith to resolve it for 30 days from that email.
If that does not resolve it, any claim relating to Foursomes or these terms must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Jefferson County, Kentucky, and you and we consent to those courts. Nothing here removes rights you have under the consumer-protection law of the place where you live that cannot be waived.
For the Android app obtained through Google Play:
If these terms conflict with the EULA about the licence to the Android software, the EULA governs that licence; these terms govern everything else.
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Foursomes after that means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, delete your account.
If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign this agreement; we may assign it in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. This agreement, together with the documents it incorporates, is the entire agreement between us about Foursomes.
